Manchester United are expected to be very active in the summer transfer window when it becomes openly active for businesses to be conducted. The Red Devils are one of the many clubs that have a few signings in mind to make this summer as they aim to catch rivals and neighbors Manchester City at the top of the table next season.
Their major option for the striker role is Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland. The Norwegian forward has been recently linked with a move to the biggest clubs across Europe, including Spain’s heavyweight clubs Barcelona and Real Madrid. However, their chances of signing Haaland are very slim, given the fractured relationship that exists between them and the player’s agent Mino Raiola.
Due to that fact, they have reportedly identified Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane as an alternative in case they are not successful with signing Haaland. Kane is said to be interested in leaving Spurs this summer and could well fancy the chances of moving to United in a bid to compliment his goal-scoring ability with titles.
United are also set to return with a move for Haaland’s teammate, Jadon Sancho, who they tried but failed to sign last summer. The England international winger is also seemingly interested in moving to Old Trafford this summer but would command a large fee from Dortmund if they are to allow him to leave.
