For some pundits, it is the lack of quality of replacements on the market that is currently hindering this move. We will have to wait for the Euros to be over to find out whether the Portuguese forward will be playing in Ligue 1 next season.

If Real Madrid do not find a suitable replacement, it is believed that they will be offering a new contract to Cristiano Ronaldo to keep him at the club for the rest of his career.

James Rodriguez has seen his playing time fall drastically under Zinedine Zidane and might be considering a move away from the Spanish side. He believes that the new formation favored by Zidane does not give him much room in the team and that he will be better off moving somewhere else.

There are rumors that Rodriguez might be favoring a move to Manchester United if ever he is going to leave Real Madrid. The Red Devils certainly need midfielders at the moment, and the Colombia star will definitely be a good signing for the England side.

However, Rodriguez’s wife has been quoted as saying that she does not want to move abroad. She stated that she had settled well in Madrid and did not want to leave the city.
